Barnet started the brighter with Adam Birchall testing Carl Muggleton in the Mansfield goal early on.

The visitors opened the scoring within two minutes of the restart as Simon Brown hit a low drive beyond Lee Harrison from just inside the area after a neat pass from Stephen Dawson.

Barnet netted in the 72nd minute as Birchall found Liam Hatch who hit a left-footed strike which, despite Muggleton getting a hand to it, found the bottom right-hand corner.

Barnet wasted a great chance to claim all three points as Michael Boulding handled in the box only for Muggleton to tip Puncheon’s spot-kick over the bar.

Ashley Carew hit the post late on for Barnet but Mansfield left Underhill with a deserved point.
