Stambouli wants to stay in England
Marseille are reported to be interested in signing Stambouli this summer, and Spurs are said to be open to the idea of selling or loaning out a player that made just four Premier League starts in his first season at White Hart Lane following a £4.7million move from Montpellier.
The midfielder, however, is determined to prove himself in England and has ruled out a return to France for the time being.
“I will see what I do. But, if there is something, it will be in England. My priority is to succeed at a Premier League club,” he told French outlet RMC.
“I am aware of what is being said, and I think, no, I won’t be coming back to France.
“I am thinking about getting a bit more game time in England. I chose England for lots of reasons, and so I will stay. It is there that I want to succeed.
“Maybe one day I will return to France. But today, my head is here. I have a month of holidays to recharge.”
