Leicester star considers his future and a switch to Italian giants is an option

Leicester City's Jonny Evans celebrates with Caglar Soyuncu and Luke Thomas

Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu is reported to be considering his future with the Foxes following interest from Serie A giants Juventus.

Soyuncu has been revelation since arriving at Leicester back in 2018. However reports are claiming this season could be his last as rival clubs show an interest. And the chance to play for Juve could be too tempting to turn down.

The 25-year-old is no stranger to the rumour mill. Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked in the past as have Barcelona. Indeed only last summer Barca were linked with a move. At the time it was claimed they saw a resemblance to club legend Carles Puyol.

Barcelona’s name has been mentioned again and a transfer scramble could be on the cards.

Leicester could cash in

Leicester have always managed to fight off the interest and will need to do so again. This time it could be harder though. Soyuncu will soon be into the last 12 months of his contract and has yet to pen a new one.

There is also a suggestion that Leicester may be open to cashing in. This summer would represent their best chance of selling for big money.

The January window would also be an option but a deal is likely to happen before then. A transfer fee in the region of £42m has been touted and could tempt the Foxes to sell.

Chelsea are also keeping an eye on the situation and could swoop when they are able to. Some reports have gone as far as suggesting a deal between the two clubs has been agreed in principle.

The Turkish ace will not be short of options and another one is Juventus. The Bianconeri are in the hunt for a new central defender and Soyuncu has emerged as a target.

Soyuncu has options

The Italian media say that talks have already started between the two clubs over a summer switch. Juve are also keen on Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger and are weighing up both options.

Soyuncu will have to decide whether he wants to stay in England or head to a new league. Some say he wants to stay in the Premier League but the chance to head to Juve or Barca would be tempting.

The Foxes have plenty to sort out at the end of the season. Soyuncu is not the only player who could leave. Youri Tielemans is in the same boat with Arsenal and Liverpool both keen.
