Stoke City star Xherdan Shaqiri has confirmed his desire to leave the club and return to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old has made it clear that he wishes to leave Stoke following their relegation to the Championship at the end of last season.
The ex-Bayern Munich and Inter Milan man joined Stoke back 2015, and has a deal running until 2020 which is rumoured to have a £12m release clause.
Reports have suggested that Everton, Huddersfield and Southampton are battling for Shaqiri, with the Yorkshire club most recently linked.
He told Aargauer Zeitung: “It is no secret that I will leave the club.
“I think the [Premier] league is perfect for me.
“I would love to stay in England but I don’t want to rule anything out. It’s the best league with the best players.”
