Us striker Kevin Lisbie (76) headed home Johnnie Jackson’s cross to put the relegated visitors ahead but City fought back courtesy of Hume’s header.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the home fans as their team failed to convert numerous opportunities.

As City became increasingly nervous in the second half United sensed an opportunity to win the game and they took the lead when Lisbie converted Jackson’s cross from the left.

Sub Matty Fryatt twice spurned excellent opportunities but the Foxes were handed a lifeline when Richard Stearman’s cross was flicked on by Lee Hendrie and Hume converted at the back post to leave the Foxes clear of the drop zone courtesy of goal difference.
