Manchester United winger Daniel James has named the three fastest players at Old Trafford and surprisingly Anthony Martial and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are not included.
The 22-year-old left winger, who signed for £15m from Swansea last summer, has been thrust into first-team action with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men and he made a bright start.
The Wales international scored three goals in his first four games, but since then he has not had quite as much success in his first season in the Premier League.
James though has still made 37 appearances for Solskjaer this term and it is his raw speed that makes him such a difficult opponent.
Wales manager Giggs recently described James as the fastest player he has ever seen and against Leicester in September he recorded a fastest speed of 21.76mph.
James is regarded as the quickest in the squad and he was asked who the three fastest players are at Old Trafford, with no place for Martial or Wan-Bissaka.
“It would be me, Diogo [Dalot] and Marcus [Rashford]. I’ve not seen him full sprint, we’d have a good race I think,” said James via Metro.
“Aaron [Wan-Bissaka] is very quick, I don’t think people realise how quick he is but [Diogo] is rapid. I don’t think you’ve probably seen it as much.”
While playing FIFA 20 with Twitch streamer Edwin ‘Castro1021’ Castro (via the Manchester Evening News), Greenwood said: “Funniest? Dan James and Jesse. Both of them.”
