BT Sport pundit convinced Harry Kane is heading for Manchester United

Harry Kane TEAMtalk

Tottenham striker Harry Kane will join Manchester United, according to former Celtic and Chelsea striker Chris Sutton.

The England forward has been mooted as a target for United over the last couple of years and in March Kane told Jamie Redknapp on Instagram, as reported in the Sunday Express, that he would consider leaving if he thought the north London club were going backwards rather than aiming for title success.

However, while answering questions from fans in a Q&A on Bleacher Report, Dean Jones revealed it is his understanding that the striker would have to give Tottenham a one-year notice period if he wanted to leave for another side in the top division of English football, which could mean his rumoured transfer to the Red Devils ahead of next season is off.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to add a striker to his side this summer and some reports have even claimed that Old Trafford is the player’s preferred destination should he depart Spurs.

And BT Sport pundit Sutton believes Kane is the type of player United need and thinks that is where he will end up.

“I think he will be off to Man Utd ,” Sutton said on the Squeaky Bum Time podcast. “Yeah I do, because he won’t win anything at Tottenham and United need a top, top striker and he would fit perfectly.”
