Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez is keen to work with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, according to reports.
The Spaniard has impressed when given a chance this season with 25 starts in all competitons due to the strong competition in Zinedine Zidane’s squad.
His contribution of eight goals and nine assists has helped Real Madrid to third in La Liga and into the final of the Champions League for a third year in a row.
Los Blancos will take on Liverpool in the final on Saturday evening and Vazquez could be playing for the other side by the time next season begins.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claims that Vazquez will join the Reds after the final in Kiev – with Klopp’s influence said to be key.
Zidane has a decent transfer budget available to him next season and Vazquez could struggle for game time again.
However, the report claims he would be happy battling Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah for a place in Liverpool’s starting line-up with the Spaniard convinced Klopp would improve him.
There is one potential stumbling block, though, with a £56million price tag on Vazquez’s head – according to Don Balon – with the deal being potentially too expensive for Liverpool.
