Top Chelsea target in talks with Euro giants after transfer collapse

AC Milan have opened talks with a major January Chelsea target, according to the latest reports from Italy.

Turin-based outlet Tuttosport claim that Milan are eager to reinforce their striking options in the summer, with Edin Dzeko a priority.

The Bosnia international reportedly came close to joining Chelsea in the January window but both the player and Roma failed to agree a deal with the Blues.

Tuttosport claim that Milan are ready to offer €25million (€5million less than Chelsea’s reported January bid) to sign Dzeko in the summer.

The Rossoneri are looking to sell Nikola Kalinic after a so far unimpressive spell at San Siro, while there are question marks over the long-term future of Andre Silva.

Milan are set to offer Dzeko a deal worth €4.5million plus add-ons, and talks are already underway.
