Tottenham have finally reached a £25m agreement with Fulham to sign England Under-21 left-back Ryan Sessegnon.
The deal will see young Spurs midfielder Josh Onomah moving the other way.
The fee for Sessegnon, 19, who scored two goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season for relegated Fulham, could rise to £30m.
Tottenham have been chasing the versatile star all summer, but his arrival will once again spark doubts over the future of Danny Rose.
The England left-back has been tipped to move on ever since he criticised the club’s transfer policy two years ago but, having been left at home for the pre-season trip to Singapore and China, Rose has since won his place back in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The arrival of Sessegnon looks like it will be the start of a busy deadline day for Spurs, with Giovani Lo Celso also expected to sign and Paulo Dybala reportedly on the brink of doing likewise.
Tottenham are also after a new right-back, with Serge Aurier, being tipped to head back to France.
