Tottenham listening to offers for five stars ahead of double deal

Ryan Sessegnon TEAMtalk

Tottenham are reportedly ready to consider offers for five players with less than three weeks left of the transfer window.

Jose Mourinho has brought in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Matt Doherty and Joe Hart so far this summer.

But Spurs are ready to ramp up their business by bringing back club legend Gareth Bale and signing left-back Sergio Reguilon.

The latter is understood to have already passed his medical and is expected in London on Friday.

Bale, meanwhile, is set to join on loan, with Tottenham paying half of his £500,000-a-week salary in what would be a mega deal for the club.

But players coming in also means potential exits, and The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has named five who could move on.

Ornstein claims that Spurs could now ‘aim to balance [the] window’ by selling a number of players in their squad.

Tottenham ‘will entertain approaches for’ Danny Rose, Juan Foyth and Paulo Gazzaniga. Serge Aurier and Ryan Sessegnon are also listed in an attempt to boost their bank balance.

Despite reports that Tottenham and Dele Alli now have a ‘mutual feeling’ that the Englishman ‘could benefit from a move away to reinvigorate his career’, Ornstein claims that the 24-year-old is ‘not on course to leave as things stand but could change’.

The England man had been linked with a move to Real as part of the proposed Bale deal.

POCH MAKES AMAZON DOC CLAIM

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he has only watched the opening 25 minutes of Tottenham’s All or Nothing documentary but understands why his exit was glossed over.

Pochettino was at the helm when the club granted Amazon’s cameras access to the goings on inside the club, though he was not overly keen on it.

He was sacked a little over a month after they started filming and barely features in the documentary. His exit comes less than halfway through the opening episode of nine.

The circumstances of his dismissal are barely featured, Jose Mourinho quickly becomes the leading man and Pochettino is soon forgotten about.

Pochettino told the Between the Lines Podcast: “Me and Jesus (Perez), we only watched the first 25 minutes, until we left.

“We watched, and to be honest, it was correct. No more or no less.

“Being honest, I think we feel responsible. It was very difficult to say yes to open the door to Amazon. They came to Tottenham at a very difficult moment for us.”   Read more…
