Tottenham are reportedly preparing to raid China for prolific Beijing Guoan striker Cedric Bakambu in the January transfer window.
The former Villarreal frontman moved to the CSL in February and has scored 19 times in 23 appearances for Beijing.
The 27-year-old also found the net nine times in 15 league starts for Villarreal before making his £35.4million switch to China.
Having failed to land a single player in the summer window, Spurs are now being tipped to spend big in the new year as Mauricio Pochettino looks to keep pace with Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.
Tottenham are on the hunt for a new striker, with veteran hitman Fernando Llorente and Dutch forward Vincent Janssen being tipped to move in January after failing to convince as Harry Kane’s understudies.
According to L’Est Republican, Spurs have already made contact over a potential deal for Bakambu but his huge salary could be a problem for the club chief Daniel Levy.
