Tottenham have reportedly joined Newcastle in the hunt to sign prolific Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen in the January transfer window.
The report in The Chronicle claims that most of the teams in the Premier League are following Bowen closely but that Spurs and the Magpies are currently said to be the front-runners for his signature.
It is revealed that while the 22-year-old’s current deal with the Tigers expires at the end of the season, the Championship side have an option to activate a one-year extension to keep him at the club until 2021.
Bowen, who was also recently linked with Championship promotion hopefuls Leeds and West Brom, has been in outstanding form for Hull so far this season, notching 15 goals and providing four assists in 22 games so far.
The Tigers are said to be determined to try and hold on to the player for as long as possible, and will likely demand a fee of around £20m for Bowen in the New Year to try and deter clubs from signing him.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Tottenham are in talks with Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare, as per a report in France.
La Voix du Nord via Get Football News France claim that the Premier League duo are in active discussions to sign the 20-year-old next month.
The Ligue 1 side are understood to value the defensive midfielder at between €50m to €60m with his current contract still to run until June 2022.
Napoli, Real Madrid and Valencia are also understood to have held preliminary talks with the France youth international, who has 22 appearances this season. Read more…
