Gavin Bazunu TEAMtalk

Tottenham have made a €200,000 bid for young Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, according to a report.

The Irish Independent claim Spurs have made an up-front offer of €200,000 with extras, with 16-year-old Bazunu set to be offered a four-year deal by Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Bazunu though would remain at Shamrock Rovers until after his leaving certificate next summer, after Shamrock boss Stephen Bradley recently confirmed that Bazunu would stay in Ireland and complete his final school examinations next June.

Per the source, the keeper is one of three youngsters who Rovers cover school fees for at Ashfield College in Dundrum.

The Dublin-born keeper has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Celtic, having conceded just two goals in six appearances, after breaking into the first team last month.

Norwich City are also understood to have made a lower offer which was turned down.
