Tottenham open talks over £22m Swiss star Embolo
Tottenham have reportedly opened negotiations with Basel over a £22million deal for teenage Switzerland striker Breel Embolo.
According to reports in France, the nine-times capped forward is one of the striker targets Tottenham are considering as they seek to ease the burden on Harry Kane next season. The club have also been linked with moves for Michy Batshuayi and Jonathan Calleri, the latter of which they reportedly already have a deal in place for.
French outlet Mercato365, claim Spurs, however, have also made contact with Basel in the battle for his signature in a bid to seal a deal before Euro 2016 and amid fears an impressive tournament could see his value soar.

Kane has played 50 times for Spurs across all competitions this season and the Argentinian boss is desperate to ensure he does not burn out, with a Champions League campaign also on the agenda next season.
Embolo joined Basel from Swiss rivals Old Boys in 2010 at the age of 13 and was handed his first professional deal four years later.
And he quickly made an impact with the club, scoring on his league debut against Aarau.
Embolo scored his first goal in the Champions League in the same year and has now established himself as a first-team regular.
The 19-year-old has now scored 21 Super League goals in his 61 appearances for the club and is starting to attract the attentions of a number of European teams with Red Bull Leipzig said to have offered him a guarantee of first-team football.
