Tottenham quartet at risk of January exit; Poch eyeing two additions

Four of Tottenham’s first-team squad are at risk of being sold in January while boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to make one signing, according to reports.

Pochettino was visibly frustrated at the speculation surrounding some of his star players in the summer and claimed after the club’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace last month – following the closing of the European transfer window – that his squad were more settled.

However, that has not looked the case in recent weeks with Spurs losing 7-2 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week before being beaten 3-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.

According to the Daily Star, Pochettino is to hold talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in the coming days over the club’s plans for the January transfer window.

The newspaper says that midfielders Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama as well as right-back Serge Aurier are all at risk of being sold, while the North London outfit are willing to listen to offers for Christian Eriksen.

As for potential arrivals, Pochettino reportedly wants Tottenham to rekindle their interest in Juventus winger Paulo Dybala following the collapsed move for the Italian on deadline day, while Nice right-back Youcef Atal is also on his radar.

Spurs headed into the international break in ninth in the Premier League table and face Watford on their return.
