Tottenham are reportedly ready to raid Ajax again after appearing to miss out on a move for Bordeaux winger Malcom.

Spurs were said to be in a battle with north London rivals Arsenal for the Brazilian, but Bordeaux’s new manager Gus Poyet revealed at his press conference on Tuesday that the winger will be going nowhere this month.

Now Goal Brasil claims that Maurio Pochettinho has turned his attentions to Malcom’s compatriot David Neres.

The report claims that Spurs are prepared to spend as much as £44million to land the 20-year-old, who has been in Europe for just over a year after leaving Sao Paulo for Amsterdam in January 2017.

Spurs have a long-standing relationship with Ajax, having previously signed Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen from the Dutch giants, and it would appear that Neres could be next on that list.

The young attacker has scored eight goals and added nine assists this season in only 17 Eredivisie appearances.
