Tottenham ready to sanction summer sale of seven stars

Tottenham are reportedly willing to sanction the sale of up to seven players as Mauricio Pochettino looks to shake-up his squad this summer.

Spurs are one of just three Premier League clubs yet to make a single signing in the current transfer window, alongside Everton and Burnley.

Pochettino’s men are still expected to do some late business in the window, as they normally do, but it would appear that the outs will easily outnumber the ins at the north London club.

The London Evening Standard states that striker Vincent Janssen will be one of the first out, having spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce, and he could return to Turkey having been omitted from the club’s squad for their pre-season trip to the USA.

Veteran frontman Fernando Llorente, defenders Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose and midfielder Mousa Dembele are also being tipped to move on – with the latter three all expected to fetch big money, having been regaulr starters under Pochettino.

Manchester United have long been linked with Rose and Alderweireld, while Llorente could head back to Spain and Dembele has been mentioned as a target for top clubs in Italy.

The final two players expected to leave the club this season are youngsters Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Marcus Edwards, who had loan spells at Burnley and Norwich last sdeason.

One player who will not be heading back to Tottenham, meanwhile, is Gareth Bale after Real Madrid decided that the Welshman will be the new face of the club after Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit.
