Tottenham step up plans to raid Norwich for £15m right-back

Tottenham are reportedly planning to step up their interest in signing Norwich teenager Max Aarons this summer.

The 19-year-old right-back has been attracting interest from all of the Premier League’s big hitters, but the Daily Mirror reports that Spurs lead Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for his signature.

Aarons has been outstanding in Norwich’s push for promotion, with Tottenham scouts said to have been making regular checks, and they were keen on signing the player in January and then loaning him back.

For their part the Canaries have been determined to keep the player, who only made his debut for the club at the start of last season, and have reportedly put a £15million price tag on his head.

Mauricio Pochettino currently alternates Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier in the right-back spot, while youngster Kyle Walker-Peters has also had some eye catching cameos this season.

However, Aurier looks increasingly likely to leave this summer and Pochettino is thought to love the idea of having two young stars pushing England international Trippier for his place in the side.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are lining up a stunning raid on rivals Tottenham that would see them replace both Maurizio Sarri and Eden Hazard, a shock report claims.  Read the full story here…
