Tottenham striker Janssen agrees loan transfer

Vincent Janssen: Staying put

Fenerbahce have confirmed they are set to sign Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen on a season-long loan.

Janssen was recently omitted from Spurs’ Champions League squad and he he now looks set continue his career in Turkey.

The Super Lig club claim they have agreed in principle to the deal and the striker will arrive at Ataturk Airport at 12:30pm today to conclude the negotiations.

Fenerbahce have until today to wrap up the deal when the Turkish transfer window closes.

Janssen, who signed a four-year from AZ Alkmaar last summer for £18.6m has struggled for game time behind Harry Kane.

He has played just a minute of football for Spurs this season as an 89th-minute sub in the home defeat by Spurs.

He managed just two Premier League goals last season from 27 appearances.
