Tottenham have offered Aston Villa £15million for midfielder Jack Grealish, claims a report.
Sky Sports report that 22-year-old Grealish “was not among Spurs’ original list of transfer targets” but has emerged as a potential signing due to Villa’s precarious financial situation.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a shrewd operator and he is well aware that Villa have issues behind the scenes and has chanced his arm with a cheeky offer for Grealish.
Villa are believed to want at least double the offer for Grealish, who is under contract until 2020.
The same source also claim Fulham and Leicester are also keen on Grealish, while TEAMtalk exclusively revealed yesterday that Chelsea were ready to spend up to £30million on Grealisha and were willing loan him back to Villa for the 2018/19 season.
Despite the interest in his services, TEAMtalk has also learnt that Grealish had wanted to stay at Villa Park for at least another 12 months – that in spite of their failure to return to the Premier League through the play-offs.
However, the Birmingham-born star will move on if it helps ease their financial woes.
Sky Sports however, claim “senior sources” at the midlands club believe they may not be forced to sell their star man.
