Tranmere win battle of the Rovers

The result saw Tranmere, who have now lost just one of their last seven games in all competitions, bounce back from last weekend’s 3-0 defeat by Southampton in perfect style.

They opened the scoring after 29 minutes when Shaleum Logan set-up Curran to curl a shot into the top left-hand corner of Mikkel Andersen’s goal.

Les Parry’s men put the result beyond doubt in the second half when Zoumana Bakayogo’s cross was flicked on by Ian Thomas-Moore for Edds to fire home.

Bristol Rovers’ best chances fell to Mark Wright and Andrew Williams, but the duo were both denied by goalkeeper Luke Daniels.
