Chelsea are ready to splash out £100m on two top Premier League stars, while Manchester United have refuted talk Jesse Lingard could be Italy bound, according to Thursday’s newspaper gossip.

CHELSEA READY TO SPEND BIG FOR AUBAYMEYANG, CHILWELL

Chelsea are reportedly ready to make a £100m double swoop for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell this summer.

According to a report in The Sun, Blues boss Frank Lampard is ready to add the pair to his squad in a bid to mount a serious title challenge next season.

The report states that Gabon hitman Aubameyang could be sold for £30m, with the Gunners preferring to strike a bargain deal for the player rather than lose him for nothing next summer.

Lampard wants to bring in a proven frontman and believes Aubameyang fits the bill to provide strong competion for the likes of Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud, who recently signed a new deal to stay at the club.

Meanwhile, Chilwell has reportedly told Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers that he wants to make the switch to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been linked with an £85million swoop for the left-back this summer, although he more likely to cost in the region of £70m if he does quit the Foxes.

The report adds that Chilwell has discussed his future with Rodgers at the King Power Stadium, and also admitted a move to Chelsea would interest him – should any offer be forthcoming.

The two additions would fill two major positional needs for Lampard and give the Blues the ammunition they need to challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City for the title next season.
