A Tottenham star has made a January exit warning to Jose Mourinho, while a Spanish goalkeeper has admitted transfer interest from Arsenal – all in the latest Paper Talk.

SPURS ACE COULD LEAVE IN JANUARY

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks could consider his future and leave in January if his game time does not improve, according to a report.

The 24-year-old has only made nine appearances this season, four of which have come in the Premier League.

However, he did not feature in the recent squads that led Spurs to victory over Burnley and West Brom. What’s more, he did not make it off the bench against Manchester United and Brighton.

According to The Telegraph, Winks will begin to consider his future if his recent snub continues.

Spurs head coach Mourinho has complained of a bloated squad for a number of months. Indeed, he has blamed his number of players for Dele Alli’s snub on occasion.

But Winks fears losing his place in Gareth Southgate’s England set-up ahead of next summer’s European Championships.

While he made appearances against both Republic of Ireland and Belgium recently, he is one of several players battling for a place in Southgate’s plans.

Indeed, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham could continue to add to that after the teenager’s recent first call-up.

Leeds’ Kalvin Phillips has also made his Three Lions debut this season and is recovering from injury.

Asked about his situation, Winks said: “Definitely, my situation at Tottenham is difficult at the moment. It’s important that I keep fighting and working as hard as I can to stay in the squad and to stay in the team.

“Every time I get the opportunity for England I love it. It’s a great place to play football here, it’s free and the lads get on really well, it’s a great place to come to.

“I want to be a part of that in the Euros and I want to be in the starting XI in the Euros as well. But, yes, it’s important that back at Tottenham I get the opportunities there and I stay in the team there as well.”
