Paper Talk: £67m Liverpool target could be sold; Man Utd chase brilliant left-back

Liverpool have Diego Carlos back on their radar, Manchester United prepare to sign a £10m left-back and Arsenal are plotting a move for a bargain £6m central defender, all in the papers.

DIEGO CARLOS TO LIVERPOOL?

Sevilla director of football Monchi could look to sell some of the LaLiga club’s assets this summer to ease the financial burden left by the coronavirus.

That’s the news, according to Marca via The Daily Express and Jurgen Klopp “has added Sevilla star Diego Carlos to his summer transfer shortlist”.

The 27-year-old centre-back has a £67million release clause in his contract and an impressive debut season in La Liga since joining Sevilla from Nantes for £16m last summer has seen him come to the attention of Klopp.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are all tracking the powerful defender, who is under contract until 2024.

Liverpool have been linked with Carlos previously and the Express had a very similar story in April with Klopp then keen to bring Carlos in alongside Virgil van Dijk.

There appears to be very little new in the Express’ story today.
