Paper Talk: Liverpool closing on Poland record-breaker branded ‘new De Bruyne’

Kacper Kozlowski, Poland record breaker

Liverpool are pushing ahead with a deal to sign an exciting Poland midfielder, Chelsea are chasing a Ligue 1 attacker, while Sunday’s transfer gossip claims Arsenal are keeping tabs on a Manchester City star.

KOZLOWSKI SIGNING ON FOR LIVERPOOL

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on attacking midfielder Kacper Kozlowski – who has been compared to Kevin De Bruyne in Poland.

The 17-year-old beat Jude Bellingham’s six-day old record to become the youngest ever player to feature at the European Championships. And he did not disappoint, with Kozlowski coming in for praise from his manager and teammates.

Kozlowski currently plays for Pogon Szczecin in his homeland. However, his stay there looks set to be brief, with a number of top European suitors all fancying a move to sign him.

Interest in the five-times capped star is increasing too, amid claims that his play is comparable to Kevin De Bruyne.

And according to the Sunday Mirror, it is Liverpool who are leading the charge for the teenager. They report Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and AC Milan are also fancing a move for the youngster.

However, the paper reports that it is Liverpool who have already opened talks over a deal.

Liverpool shortlist three European forwards

Liverpool shortlist three European forwards

Jurgen Klopp have identified three potential forward options to beef up their squad, as the German is wanted by Barcelona while the Reds monitor FC Porto midfielder Fabio Vieira.

And while his club, Szczecin don’t want to sell in January, a summer switch to Anfield looks a distinct possibility.

Kozlowski has previously been linked with Manchester United – so his arrival at Liverpool will be considered a real coup.

And it could prove the last act of Michael Edwards’ reign with the Liverpool sporting director likely to depart at the end of the season.
