Virgil van Dijk TEAMtalk

Liverpool must cough up a seven-figure sum to clubs for transfer bonuses after their title win, while details of Matteo Guendouzi’s Arsenal rift emerge – all in the latest Paper Talk.

Liverpool will soon pay out a total of £10million in transfer bonuses to clubs across England following their Premier League title win, according to reports.

The Reds clinched their first league title in 30 years on Thursday after Chelsea’s defeat of Manchester City.

And while they will be in line for significant rewards themselves, they must now also pay out bonuses to clubs for deals agreed with their title-winning stars.

The Daily Mail says Southampton will receive the biggest amount – as high as £3million – after their recent transfer history with the Reds.

Liverpool signed Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane from the Saints.

Also among those to receive windfall will be Arsenal, who sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Anfield in 2017.

Hull and Charlton will also expect a financial boost, with Andy Robertson and Joe Gomez leaving the respective clubs for Liverpool.
