Manchester United have been given a lift over reported interest in two summer striker targets, while Mikel Arteta wants to build his Arsenal side around an Atletico Madrid schemer, according to Monday’s Paper Talk.

Manchester United have been handed a double lift on the striker front after it was indicated they two targets could be available for moves this summer.

Raul Jimenez has lifted the lid on his availability this summer, saying he is “open to everything” when asked about a move away from Wolves.

The Mexican has been linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford after already hitting the 22-goal mark this season; form which has suggested United are plotting a £50m move for his signature.

And the Mexico international has refused to close the door to the potential move when asked about the rumours.

“One is always open to everything, but I have a contract until 2023,” he told ESPN Mexico, via the Daily Mirror.

While Wolves would fight to keep their star striker, concrete interest from United would make it a very uncomfortable summer for Wolves, who now have eyes on the Champions League spots themselves after winning at Tottenham on Sunday.

United are also thought to be considering a move to sign prolific Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.

The French striker has 27 goals in 42 appearances this season, having joined the club on an initial loan deal from PSG in summer 2017 and 61 in 123 overall.

But the Daily Record claims Celtic now plan to offer the 22-year-old a lucrative new deal to ward off that interest from United, but there is a feeling they could be vulnerable to losing Edouard should he reject that offer.

His current contract ties him to Parkhead until 2022, so Celtic have no immediate hurry to sell should he reject their advances, but like Wolves, firm interest from United could give officials at the club something of a dilemma.

United, meanwhile, are also keeping tabs on Stoke City defender Nathan Collins with a view to a summer swoop.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, 18, has only made 12 first-team appearances for the Potters, but The Sun claims he is growing of increasing interest to United as they look to Collins as one for the future
