Transfer Gossip: Man Utd lock on to £26m Bayern star Tuchel wants gone; Leeds target Nott’m Forest star as perfect Bamford upgrade
Manchester United are ready to spend just £26m to land a Bayern Munich defender, West Ham plan to use their Declan Rice windfall on three players, while Thursday’s Transfer Gossip claims Leeds want a Nottingham Forest striker as a Patrick Bamford upgrade.
TEN HAG WANTS TO BRING BENJAMIN PAVARD TO MAN UTD
Manchester United are ready to make a move to bring Benjamin Pavard to the club this summer, per a report.
The Red Devils are looking to make a number of stellar signings to help further improve on Erik ten Hag’s squad. Having won the Carabao Cup last season and finished third in the Premier League, they now hope to challenge for the game’s very top honours.
But as it stands, Ten Hag is reportedly working within a limited £120m transfer budget. However, his financial restrictions could soon ease if United satisty FFP requirements – and that could unlock some tasty new arrivals at Old Trafford.
To that end, a first signing of the summer is nearing in the form of goalkeeper Andre Onana. However, not everyone is happy at his impending move from Inter with boss Simone Inzaghi reportedly registering his anger at the impending sale of his star man to United.
Nonetheless, United are cracking on with their summer recruitment drive. And the United boss is also hoping to get his hands on a new midfielder, a new striker and a new defender.
The Red Devils were seemingly in the running to sign Napoli star Kim Min-jae. However, the South Korean star is now reportedly destined to sign for Bayern Munich – much to Ten Hag’s chagrin.
However, a Plan B appears to now be in the works in the form of Pavard.
Bayern boss Tuchel wants Man Utd target Pavard gone
The versatile France international has been cleared to leave Bayern Munich this summer. He no longer figures in boss Thomas Tuchel’s plans and they’re seemingly willing to offload him for a fee of around £26m (€30m).
Initially linked with Liverpool, now Football Transfers claims Manchester United are readying an approach of their own.
And Ten Hag is reportedly keen on the 27-year-old World Cup winner as an upgrade for the departing Harry Maguire.
Capable of playing at both centre-half and right-back, Ten Hag could also deploy him as cover for Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot.
Furthermore, any move for the 49-times capped France star would not break the bank. He currently earns a modest £85,000 a week at Bayern, a figure United would be willing to match.
Bayern are unlikely to stand in his way, meaning any deal should be easy for United to reach.
His arrival, however, will also allow Bayern to push through the signing of Kim from Napoli for a fee of £52m.

WEST HAM READY TO SPEND DECLAN RICE FUNDS ON TRIO
West Ham want to sign three players with the impending Declan Rice transfer windfall.
The Hammers skipper is on the brink of leaving the London Stadium for Arsenal in what will be a record fee between English clubs. Indeed, the Gunners have reached an agreement worth an initial £100m, with a further £5m in add-ons.
That comes after Manchester City ultimately dropped out of the race for the England star.
For Arsenal, the capture of Rice will complete a brilliant week for the Gunners. They have already welcomed Kai Havertz from Chelsea; but the addition of Rice will mean transfer objective No 1 of the summer is now done.
The arrival of the 24-year-old star will hopefully take Arsenal to the next level.
But for West Ham, the departure of their talismanic star leaves behind a seismic hole.
Nonetheless, they will have plenty of cash in the bank to strengthen their squad. And according to the Daily Mirror, boss David Moyes has his eyes on three players to strengthen his squad using those funds.
First up, the Hammers are looking to sign Everton star Amadou Onana as Rice’s replacement. He has shone in the Premier League since a move to Goodison last summer. Costing £33m from Lille, the Toffees could comfortably sell him for £50m-plus.
In addition, West Ham also hope to get their hands on Chelsea reject Denis Zakaria. The Swiss star spent last season on loan at Chelsea from Juventus. However, he does not figure in either club’s plans and a move should be relatively straightforward.
And finally, Moyes hopes to land England defender Harry Maguire from Man Utd. He’s been cleared to leave Old Trafford after falling out of favour. A fee of just £30m could persuade United to sell the 30-year-old centre-half.

LEEDS EYE DEPARTING FOREST STRIKER AS BAMFORD UPGRADE
Leeds United are reportedly planning to swoop on Nottingham Forest to sign Emmanuel Dennis.
The 26-year-old joined the Tricky Trees from Watford last summer for a fee of around £10m.
One of 30 new players to step through the doors at the City Ground last season, Dennis made 25 appearances for Forest in all competitions.
However, the eight-times Nigerian striker found the going tough, registering just two goals for Steve Cooper’s side.
And with Taiwo Awoniyi now firmly established as first choice, Forest are ready to cash in on Dennis.
Now according to reports in the Daily Express, Leeds are ready to swoop in for the striker.
Leeds were relegated from the Premier League last season, ending their three-year stay among the elite.
However, they are reportedly ready to swoop for Dennis as they look to return to the top tier at the first time of asking.
And the Whites reportedly see the striker as an ideal replacement for the misfiring Patrick Bamford, who struggled in front of goal last season.
The one-time capped England striker managed six goals in 31 appearances – but was guilty of several big misses.
Now a deal could be struck to bring in Dennis to provide them with a potential upgrade.
Forest will not stand in Dennis’ way and could allow him to move on for a fee similar to what they paid.
