Manchester United are pushing to snare an Eintracht Frankfurt star on a free, PSG are keen to raid Newcastle for a star defender, while Thursday’s Transfer Gossip claims Everton are battling Leeds for a 101 goal striker.

TEN HAG DESPERATE TO LAND DAICHI KAMADA DEAL

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is desperately trying to persuade Daichi Kamada to move to Old Trafford this summer.

The Japanese playmaker is about to enter free agent status with his deal at Eintracht Frankfurt set to expire.

And with the 26-year-old boasting 13 goals and four assists from 31 appearances this season, it is easy to see why he’s a man in demand. Indeed, that record of a goal involvement every 1.8 games is among the best of any midfielder across Europe’s top five leagues.

As such, it is easy to see why demand to sign Kamada is extremely high. And recent reports in Germany claimed as many as 12 clubs have all sounded him out over possible moves this summer.

That chase is reportedly led by Borussia Dortmund, who have a verbal agreement to sign the player.

But now the Daily Mail claims Ten Hag has made contact with Kamada in a desperate attempt to hijack the deal.

It’s claimed that Ten Hag has made clear his love and admiration for the player and told him how he can elevate his Manchester United side.

Kamada, for his part, is reportedly keen to stay in Germany where he has played for six years. However, a move to Old Trafford would understandably tempt him.

And he is reportedly prepared to hear what United have to say.

Chelsea are also keen, but are seen as having less of a chance of hijacking the deal.

Kamada has 37 goals in 164 appearances for Frankfurt, winning the Europa League last season.

PSG MAKING PLANS TO LURE SVEN BOTMAN

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to pay whatever it takes to snare Sven Botman from Newcastle this summer.

The Dutch defender has been a rock solid performer in the heart of the Toon defence since moving from Lille last summer.

And while PSG were on his trail at the time, it was left for Newcastle to battle Milan for his signature.

However, the 23-year-old has gone from strength to strength since moving to St James’ Park.

Now iNews reports they are ready to make a firm move to lure him back to Ligue 1.

Their sporting director Luis Campos reckons Botman is in line to become one of the world’s elite centre-halves.

And with a solid trophy chance each season, together with a near-guarantee of Champions League football, believe they can lure him back.

Newcastle do not, understandably, want to sell. Botman has made 30 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side this season and been one of the star’s of their rise up the table.

However, they know that money talks and a sizeable sale will give them significant funds to reinvest. And while Newcastle do have deep pockets, FFP limitations restrict what they can spend. A windfall from PSG for Botman could significantly raise what they can do this summer.

Newcastle are already reportedly looking at replacements with a Leeds man being watched.

EVERTON CHASING MOVE FOR CHE ADAMS

Everton are keen to sign Southampton striker Che Adams this summer.

The Toffees are currently embroiled in what looks like a seven or eight team scrap to avoid the drop this season. And while the appointment of Sean Dyche gives them a fighting chance, a lack of goals in the side certainly dampens their spirits.

Indeed, Everton have managed just 19 goals in 26 games this season, making them the joint-lowest in the league.

Dyche reckonises the issue and now Football Insider reports that Everton are keen to sign Adams this summer.

The Scotland striker has 101 goals during his career, with 30 of those coming over four seasons at St Mary’s.

His deal at Southampton is due to expire in summer 2024, making them vulnerable to his sale. Currently 19th in the Premier League, relegation would almost certainly see a plethora of top stars leave.

Adams is one of those likely to be in demand, with Leeds regularly linked with his services.

However, a cut-price move could be on this summer with the Toffees understandably keen.

Dyche is also casting his eye over Middlesbrough’s Chuba Akpom. The former Arsenal striker has really found his form on Teesside under Michael Carrick. Indeed, he has 22 goals in 30 appearances so far this season with Boro chasing promotion.

Everton do have money in their pocket after sanctioning the sale of Moises Kean this week.
