Paper Talk: Old Mourinho target to fall into Solskjaer’s lap

Manchester United could get their hands on Barcelona star, while they are ready to wait for a trigger to go all out to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford and a Chelsea target could snub Thomas Tuchel, all in the papers.

UNITED HAVE TER STEGEN IN FOCUS

Manchester United could get their hands on Marc-Andre ter Stegen this summer after the Barcelona man missed out on a move to Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.

According to AS, Mino Raiola is ready to manufacture a move for Gianluigi Donnarumma to Barcelona. Contact has already been made with Barcelona president Joan Laporta ahead of a potential summer move. The AC Milan star will be a free agent this summer and so far talks have hit a dead end.

Any transfer would in turn lead to a goalkeeper domino effect with Ter Stegen unlikely to hang around as a No.2 at the Camp Nou.

After a seven-year spell with the LaLiga giants the suggestion is that Ter Stegen would be looking for a move and United could be the destination, per the Express.

Mourinho tried to land Ter Stegen in 2018 when David de Gea’s future was under the microscope. There will be a similar situation this summer with De Gea, 30, unlikely to want to play second fiddle to Dean Henderson, who has grown in stature this season.
