Ivan Perisic TEAMtalk

Tottenham are ready to make a January move for a veteran Inter Milan attacker, while Man Utd are demanding £20m for an out of favour star, according to Tuesday’s paper gossip.

Jose Mourinho is ready to renew his interest in Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic in the January transfer window.

Fussball Transfers reported back in June that Tottenham were keen on the 31-year-old, who impressed on loan at Bayern Munich last season.

The Croatian already has two assists for Antonio Conte’s Inter side this term, but his long-term future remains unclear.

As such, reports on Tuesday claim that Mourinho could be ready to swoop in the new year.

Despite being in the twilight of his career, Perisic scored eight goals and added 10 assists last season, and he is being viewed as a rotational player for Spurs.

The former Dortmund star is valued at a bargain £13.5m, although he would have to compete with the likes of Son Heung-Min, Gareth Bale, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn for a wide spot in Tottenham’s first XI.

Spurs brought in seven players over the summer and are not expected to be that active in January, however a move for a player of Perisic’s quality for that price may be too good to turn down.
