Manchester United are ready to sign an Atletico Madrid superstar – and use one of their own star names as part of a swap, Raheem Sterling has revealed his plans for after football, while Saturday’s transfer gossip has details of a Tottenham approach for a Feyenoord midfielder.

JAN OBLAK WOULD WELCOME MAN UTD MOVE

Manchester United are on the trail of Jan Oblak – and the Atletico Madrid keeper is reportedly ready to make the move.

United are likely to say goodbye to David De Gea this summer. He has been relegated to second choice in recent weeks with Dean Henderson given a run in goal. De Gea is United’s top earner on £375,000 a week, but looks set to be sold. PSG have emerged as a genuine option.

Despite Henderson’s fine form in goal, it’s reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not trust him to take the United gloves full time. Earlier this year, they were linked with Gianluigi Donnarumma as a potential replacement.

However, 90min, via a variety of papers, claim Oblak is the keeper that Solskjaer truly wants. The Slovenian is regarded as one of, if not the, best keepers in the world. And while he has a €100m exit clause in his Atletico deal, the report claims the deal is possible for two reasons.

Firstly, they state that Oblak is open to the idea of moving to United if they come calling. He has been with Atletico since 2014 and is said to fancy the idea of a change. A move to the Premier League would also see his wages go through the roof.

Secondly, the article proposes that a swap deal between De Gea and Oblak could be an option. De Gea started his career at Atletico, leaving for Old Trafford in 2011.

With his partner based in Spain, a move back to his hometown would tick every box for De Gea. The report does not mention what fees would be involved, but it’s likely United would need a cash adjustment in addition to De Gea in any deal for Oblak.
