Forget Tuchel’s comments, Blues boss wants star ‘out of Chelsea’

Thomas Tuchel TEAMtalk

New Stamford Bridge boss Thomas Tuchel wants Tammy Abraham “out of Chelsea” this summer, according to a report in Spain.

Despite Tuchel’s public encouragement to the frozen out star at his press conference earlier this week, the German does not see a future for the England man. TodoFichajes report “the young Englishman has gone from great hope of the club to disappearing from the map”. And he may well disappear completely from Stamford Bridge this summer.

After being left out of the FA Cup semi-final squad over the weekend, he was once again absent from Tuesday’s draw with Brighton. Kai Havertz was used as a false nine, with Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner the attacking options from the bench.

Tuchel has claimed is was nothing personal.

“I hope that he does not get lost in too many thoughts,” said the Blues boss on Monday.

“He knows he must not be too concerned about his situation. Eeverything he can do is to stay focused, to stay with belief.

“The situation for a striker can change in minutes.

“I hope he’s not concerned about his future. I hope the only thing he cares about is his training, because it’s the only chance for him to escape the situation.”

Abraham, 23, though will surely not hang around on the sidelines as he looks to enter the prime of his career.

Leicester lead the way

He has plenty of suitors, with Leicester leading the charge for the striker. The outlet suggest reports in England claim the Foxes have made contact with Chelsea about a summer move for Abraham.

West Ham and Aston Villa, where has spent a time a loan previously, are also in the running.

ESPN said last month that Chelsea had put contract talks with Abraham on hold. However, such has been the fluidity of the situation it is unlikely the former Bristol City man would even entertain the talks at present.

With the current situation as it is Abraham looks destined to move on. He is likely to cost in the region of £35m despite his reduced role under Thomas Tuchel.

Abraham has 12 goals and two assists in 30 appearances this season, but has splayed only 123 minutes under Tuchel.
