Two missing for Hatters cup clash

United warmed up for the rain-delayed, twice-postponed tie with a thumping 5-0 win over Darlington at Plainmoor, but Buckle will be without two key players who helped to demolish Quakers.

On-loan Wycombe striker Chris Zebroski, who has now scored four goals in three games following his double against Darlington, is cup-tied having played for his parent club in his first round.

And fellow loanee Michael Poke will also miss out as Southampton have refused Torquay permission to play the goalkeeper in the FA Cup.

Zebroski’s starting spot is likely to go to Elliot Benyon, who scored within five minutes of his introduction from the bench on Saturday, or Tim Sills.

Scott Bevan will deputise between the sticks in Poke’s absence.

The match will take place at Macclesfield’s Moss Rose ground following the recent problems with a waterlogged pitch at Edgeley Park.
