Valencia bid £30m for outstanding Man United star – report

Spanish giants Valencia have reportedly earmarked Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera as one of their main targets this summer.
The 27-year-old, who was a key component as Jose Mourinho’s men lifted three trophies last season, has also been strongly linked with Barcelona, having played for their new boss Ernesto Valverde while at Athletic Bilbao.
However, Valencia, are now believed to be in the running for the Spain midfielder, with their boss Marcelino asking the club’s owner Peter Lim to launch a £30m-plus bid, according to The Mirror.
United are already said to have rebuffed Los Che’s bid and insist that the player is not for sale, while Herrera himself recently stated that he wants to “keep improving” and make the United fans “proud”.
Jose Mourinho is said to be a huge fan of Herrera’s disciplined approach to the game and work-rate and wants to build his midfield around the Spaniard, and record signing Paul Pogba, while also bringing in a top class defensive midfielder to bring out the best in Herrera and Pogba.
