Villarreal star drops huge Liverpool, Man City hint amid €60m links

Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze has admitted his ambition to play in England amid €60m links with the Premier League’s top two sides.
The 19-year-old winger has enjoyed a breakout season in La Liga, with five goals and two assists from 24 appearances in his first campaign as a senior professional.
Those performances have meant Chukwueze has earned comparisons to Arjen Robben in the process, and has also apparently attracted interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.
Now, the player himself has even admitted that a move to the Premier League is still a major aim, even claiming he was close to joining Arsenal.
“Playing in England is still an ambition for me,” he told Tribal Football.
“I need to keep on working hard and to keep improving. I really want to play in England.
“It was very close for me to sign for Arsenal, almost had the contract in my hands. Unfortunately, it did not work out fine with my academy due to the side of agreement and payment. They did not agree with the terms of the contract.”
The left-footed winger, who is more commonly known as Samu, has a release clause of £54m, but Villarreal are expected to accept lower bids.
