Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has admitted that it will take a ‘miracle’ for England to win the World Cup in Russia this summer.
England made light work of qualifying for the tournament, topping Group F on 26 points with an unbeaten record.
Gareth Southgate’s side face a tougher test in the group stages in Russia, where they will face Belgium as well as Panama and Tunisia.
While Walker believes England have the quality to go far, he also thinks a lack of tournament experience could hamper their chances of going far in the competition.
Speaking to talkSPORT about England’s chances, Walker claimed: “To win it is going to be a miracle.
“We have got the players to do it as a lot of us play in probably the best league in the world but have we got the experience going further along in the competition? No we haven’t.”
