Victor Wanyama: In action against Tottenham

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama will reportedly undergo a Tottenham medical after the two clubs struck a deal in the region of £11.5m.

Various reports from the British and Kenyan press have said that the move is now close to be completed after further talks were held over the weekend and he is ready to put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

Southampton have been forced to cash in on the 24-year-old as he was about to enter into the final year of his contract at St Mary’s and is set to become the latest high-profile exit following Ronald Koeman’s switch to the Everton dugout.

Wanyama has been a long-term target for Tottenham, with the move set to reunite him with his former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino.
