WATCH: Lallana sent off for strangling opponent in U23s game
Adam Lallana was shown a red card in Liverpool U23’s game against Tottenham U23s on Monday night.
The midfielder was sent off in the 63rd minute with Spurs leading 1-0, after reacting angrily to a challenge from Marsh.
According to the Liverpool Echo’s Andy Kelly, suspensions from Premier League 2 come into effect on the 14th day after the sending off, so Lallana will be suspended for three games from Feb 19 onwards.
It is expected that the ban will also apply for the Premier League.
