Weir-Daley strike~halts Millers

The Millers went in front early on when Andy Todd’s cross-field ball picked out Peter Holmes and he cut inside before unleashing a great shot from just outside the area which whistled into the far corner.

Notts County then fought back and Weir-Daley had a good shot saved, before Graham Coughlan blocked another effort on the line.

They were soon level as Dale Tonge slipped to allow Kevin Pilkington’s goal-kick to run through to Weir-Daley, who made no mistake.

Rotherham’s Danny Harrison had a shot blocked on the line, before Weir-Daley should have grabbed the winner late on, but he fired over.
