Aaron Ramsey: Injured hamstring against Bayern Munich

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Aaron Ramsey’s hamstring injury will keep him out of action for Arsenal until at least November 21.

Ramsey sustained the injury during the first half of Arsenal’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Following a scan on Thursday, Arsenal now expect Ramsey to miss at least five games before the next international break.

“He had a scan today but he’s out,” Wenger said on Arsenal’s official website.

“I believe he will be out until after the next international break. With the [last] international break, the fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost Bale and him as well.”

David Ospina will also remain sidelined “certainly until the next international break,” Wenger revealed, with the outlook even worse for Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck.

“For them, you can say around the New Year,” Wenger added.

Arsenal host Everton this weekend, with the walking wounded also set to mis further Premier League games against Swansea (October 31) and Tottenham (November 8), as well as the Champions League tie against Bayern (November 4) and a Capital One Cup tie at Sheffield Wednesday (October 27).
