West Ham United have launched a £10million bid for FC Lorient striker Alexis Claude-Maurice, according to reports.
The Hammers could be forced to dip into the transfer market to bolster their forward department this summer due to a number of potential outgoings.
Lucas Perez has already left in a permanent deal, joining LaLiga side Alaves, while Andy Carroll will leave at the end of his contract.
There is also widespread speculation surrounding their other two strikers in Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic, with both the subject of exit talks despite the latter penning a bumper new deal in January.
As a result, Manuel Pellegrini’s side are looking for fresh facing for their attack and Sky claim that the London club have made a £10m bid for Claude-Maurice.
The 21-year-old played in France’s second tier last season with Lorient scoring 14 goals, but it was not enough to fire them back into Ligue 1.
Soccer Link stated last week that Arsenal had made a £9million offer last week for the France U20 international, amid hopes that Claude-Maurice’s friendship with former Lorient star Matteo Guendouzi could help get a deal over the line.
