West Ham, Leicester interested in €30m-rated Milan winger

Premier League duo Leicester City and West Ham are fighting for the signing of AC Milan attacking midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, according to reports.

The Turkish international joined Milan from Bayer Leverkusen in 2017, having previously spent his entire career in Germany, the country of his birth. However, despite being under contract until 2021, he could be moving on in the summer, with the Premier League pair waiting in the wings.

According to Calciomercato, West Ham have already made contact with Milan over the 25-year-old winger – who is usually deployed on the left-hand side – while Leicester are also showing an interest.

The report claims that Calhanoglu would be available for around €30m. Turkish club Fenerbahce are also interested, but likely wouldn’t be able to afford him.

Hence, it is understood that West Ham are leading the race, having shown a concrete interest for longer.

Calhanoglu has only managed one league goal this season, but has compensated with six assists.
