West Ham name the one Man Utd star they want in Issa Diop swap

West Ham will reportedly ask for Manchester United to throw in Anthony Martial as part of any deal for central defender Issa Diop.
The France forward has not been a regular during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permanent time in charge at Old Trafford, despite penning a lucrative new deal back in January.
And with United said to have made Hammers star Diop their top central defensive target, the London club have made an audacious request for a swap deal, according to The Independent.
The report goes on to add that West Ham want in excess of £60million for former Toulouse man Diop, with the Hammers already rejecting an offer of £40m plus a player.
The 22-year-old played 33 Premier League games during his maiden campaign in the top-flight and caught then United boss Jose Mourinho’s eye when West Ham beat the Red Devils 3-1 back in September last year.
Diop remains one of a number of centre-back options that United are looking at, although a move for Ajax skipper Matthijs de Ligt looks increasingly unlikely given Dutch legend Ruud Gullit’s recent comments about any potential move.
