TEAMtalk understands that West Ham are set to sign Ipswich Town youngster Sam Ford.
The 15-year-old has been on trial with the Hammers and has impressed sufficiently for the Premier League side to signal their intentions to snap up the forward.
Ford was spotted by West Ham scouts playing for Ipswich’s Under-18s, with whom he has been prolific this season, and was invited to train with the development squad at Upton Park last month.
The Ipswich-born starlet’s two-year scholarship comes to an end in June 2016 and West Ham believe Ford has the ability to make the professional ranks.
The Hammers have a number of exciting prospects currently breaking through at academy level and they believe Ford could improve the quality of their youth ranks even further.
