Marko Arnautovic has responded to speculation that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on a £50m move for him.

Reports emerged on Wednesday suggesting that the United boss is considering a big-money move for the 29-year-old.

Mourinho was spotted at Austria’s match against Russia on Wednesday evening, but Austrian newspaper Kurier claim that the Portuguese coach attended the match because he was on holiday in the Tyrol region.

“It is a great honour for our entire team that a coach like Mourinho is watching us,” Arnautovic said via Sport Witness, when asked about Mourinho’s trip to Austria.

Arnautovic scored 11 goals and created six more for his team-mates as the Hammers ended the Premier League season 13th position.

He only joined West Ham last summer from Stoke City in a club-record deal worth £24million and after a slow start to the season, David Moyes managed to get the best out of the Austria international.

Sky Sports claims that Man United want Arnautovic but the Hammers have no desire to sell and they value him at a huge £50million.

Arnautovic has previously worked with Red Devils boss Mourinho at Inter Milan but he still has four years remaining on his deal at the London Stadium.
