Wolves set to strengthen attack with quality Benfica striker

Wolves are close to completing a deal for Benfica striker Raul Jimenez, according to reports in Portugal.
Jimenez joined the Portuguese side for a club-record fee from Atletico Madrid in 2015, but has only started 20 league games in his three-season spell so far. He has been effective from the bench though, scoring 31 goals in all competitions.
O Jogo claims that Premier League newcomers Wolves are ready to bring Jimenez to England in a €3m loan deal.
The Molineux are side are evaluating their striking options ahead of their return to the top flight, having re-signed Benik Afobe from Bournemouth following a successful loan spell.
Jimenez, who was a target for Everton last summer, would be another option for Wolves’ front line – or a replacement if Afobe is sold to Stoke City.
Jimenez is represented by Jorge Mendes, who was also behind Wolves’ signings of Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and Helder Costa.
Confirmation of Jimenez’s switch to the Premier League side is expected to arrive early this week.
