Wolves to trigger £12.5m release clause to bring back striker

Wolves are set to trigger Benik Afobe’s release clause of £12.5million in order to bring him back to the club from Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old finished last season back on loan at Molineux, after The Cherries allowed him to leave on a temporary deal.

Afobe is hugely popular at Wolves after his 12-months with the club before he joined Bournemouth for £10million in January 2016.

Now Wolves have seemingly decided that Afobe could again play an important part for them after their promotion back to the top-flight.

Nuno Espirito Santo is also on the look out for another striker after reports earlier in the week suggested that the Wolves chief was ready to make a move for an AC Milan hitman.
