Yaya Toure will reportedly reject a move to Inter Milan this summer after setting his heart on playing for a rival Premier League side next season.
Midfielder Toure, who turns 33 next month, has yet to be offered a new deal at Manchester City, even though his current £220,000-a-week contract expires in 2017.
The player’s agent revealed earlier this week that he will “definitely leave” the club at the end of the season, amid claims his style is not suited to the way Pep Guardiola wants to model his City side next season.
That has alerted Italian giants Inter, who are prepared to give Toure a three-year deal – as long as he takes a massive pay cut to less than £100,000-a-week.
The former Barcelona star has also reportedly had offers from China, but has enjoyed English football and helped City win all three domestic trophies during a highly successful six-year spell at the club.
And, according to the Daily Mirror, Toure has made it clear, as he did last month, that he likes the Premier League, does not want to leave and his family are settled in England.
Ivory Coast international Toure is also highly unlikely to be ready to take a pay-cut, as he still has a year left on his deal.
That leaves Blues chiefs with a problem if they do decide that he is surplus to requirements at the Etihad with Guardiola set to take over at the end of the season.
Where do you think Yaya Toure will end up playing next season?
